Training For

So I seemed to of entered Manchester Marathon 2014 as part of Barry's Project 150 and I am doing it in Fancy dress this should be fun. I am not sure what kind of training I need to add on to my normal training as the wolf costume changes things a bit as the head is very thick and padded, I have worked out I can get my camel pack under the costume so I am planning water fill ups to the camel pack rather than trying to rely on water stops though if it is hot I will be using these to cool my head down.

I am also training for the track season next year hopefully get under 13s for the 100m yes I am mixing 100m training with marathon training. well the only year I didn't do this I have been injured all season. my aim is to get a full power of 10 from 100 to marathon and hopefully a few PB's thrown in for good measure oh and of course a little bit of shot put training to beat that 8m barrier current Pb was increased this year from 6:50m to 7.89 so only 11cm to go

My training plan looks fun with lots of speed, core and endurance work all worked out with long runs Sunday morning.

So now with injuries behind me I am looking forward to the 2014 season my first decision is should I  do the ribble valley 10k on the 29th December 2013 (it's my favourite race). well I suppose if I enter it will give me something to train for to make sure I stick to my plan
